World Championship Wrestling fue una empresa de lucha libre profesional que existió entre 1988 y 2001 con sede en Atlanta, Georgia. En sus inicios, la empresa perteneció a la National Wrestling Alliance como parte de Jim Crockett Promotions hasta su adquisición en noviembre de 1988 por Ted Turner; éste, y posteriormente Time Warner, fueron los propietarios de la compañía hasta el año 2001, cuando fue vendida al dueño de la promoción rival, la World Wrestling Federation, Vince McMahon.

La época de mayor auge de la empresa fue a finales de la década de los 90 bajo la producción ejecutiva de Eric Bischoff y con la llegada de Hulk Hogan, la introducción de Monday Nitro y las denominadas Monday Night Wars. Además, el stable New World Order y estrellas como Lex Luger, Sting, Kevin Nash o Goldberg contribuyeron al éxito financiero de la compañía.
